The number of degress around the center of any polygon is always
360°. Since this is a regular pentagon, all five sides have the
same length, so angle EOD, which inscribes one side of the pentagon, must
have a fifth of the total angle. 360/5 is 72, so angle
EOD has a measure of 72°.
