Pg 286 (298) - Q21

In this case, ignore the 1 3/4 quarts of water; that's immaterial to the problem.  What we want to look at here is the ratio of 1/4 quart of concentrate for every 4 people.  Well, how many units or groups of 4 people are there in 14 people?  Well, 4 goes into 14, 3 1/2 times.  So, if we multiply 3 1/2 by 1/4, we'll find out how many quarts we need.  We find out that we need 7/8 or .875
